Are deleted messages included in Slack exports or eDiscovery?
Standard self‑serve exports exclude deleted messages. Enterprise exports, legal holds, and eDiscovery tools may retain copies captured before deletion. Do not rely on SelfDestruct to bypass retention or legal requirements.
What exactly gets deleted?
Only the message body sent via the app. Files/attachments are not deleted.
What timers are supported?
Minimum 1 minute, maximum 7 days.
Where does the app work?
Only in channels/DMs where the bot is present. Use Slack permissions to restrict scope.
Why did my message fail to send?
The bot must be invited to the target channel/DM. Invite it and retry.
How does billing work?
30‑day free trial, then usage‑based at $2/user/month. We count active human users daily and exclude bots and deactivated accounts.
Can I move my subscription to another workspace?
Yes. Email support with your current and new Slack team IDs.
How do I request deletion of my company data?
Email support@selfdestructapp.com with your team_id and authorization.
How do I report a security issue?
